EEC Annual Workshop 2026: Advancing Grid Resilience and Energy Innovation
The Eversource Energy Center (EEC) at the University of Connecticut hosted its Annual Workshop on February 27, bringing together faculty, students, industry partners, and advisory leaders for a day of collaboration and innovation.
Research Highlights
The workshop opened with remarks outlining the Center’s mission and future directions, followed by presentations spanning key focus areas:
- Grid Reliability and Resilience
- Renewable Energy Integration and Cyber-Physical Systems
- Climate Impacts and Community Resilience
- Workforce Development and Energy Policy
Principal Investigators shared updates on ongoing projects addressing extreme weather forecasting, outage modeling, vegetation management, digital twin technologies, cybersecurity detection, and resilience system modeling.
Student Poster Session
Graduate students showcased their research through an engaging poster session, offering deeper technical insights and fostering meaningful discussion among participants.
Looking Ahead
The afternoon roundtable discussion focused on research priorities and funding opportunities, reinforcing the importance of continued collaboration between academia and industry in advancing resilient and sustainable energy systems.
Recognizing Excellence
The workshop concluded with the announcement of the Student Poster Competition winners, recognizing excellence in research and presentation.
